KATERINA TODOROVSKI
Katerina was born and raised in Skopje, North Macedonia. In 2000 she came to Romania on a study scholarship. After two years she had fallen in love with the country and its people. She stayed, and made Bucharest home.
She built her career on both sides of the table: first in agencies, then five years on the Telekom Romania brand team, where her campaigns won Gold at Effie Awards Europe. In January 2020 she joined BCR, where she now leads the brand strategy of BCR and George, The First Intelligent Banking.
But behind the campaigns was another story, one she kept hidden for years under smiles, work and loose clothes. It began with a night she woke up breathless at 150 kg and decided to choose life. From 150 kg to 64, and from hiding to self-acceptance, she has since told that story on stage at I Love Failure and on some of Romania’s best-known podcasts.
Now she has written it all down.

Katerina Todorovski is Head of Brand Marketing at BCR (Banca Comercială Română), part of Erste Group, where she leads the brand strategy and marketing direction for both BCR and George, The First Intelligent Banking. With over 20 years of experience across telecommunications, FMCG and banking, on both the agency and client side, her work sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity and effectiveness.
Before joining BCR in January 2020, she spent five years on the Telekom Romania brand and communication team, working on campaigns such as #NETLIBERARE (Gold at Effie Awards Europe 2019 and Gold Effie in Romania) and StoryTime, winner of two Gold and five Silver trophies at Golden Drum 2019. At BCR, her team’s work earned five Effie awards in 2026, placing BCR second among Romania’s most-awarded brands, with a Grand Effie final.
She serves on the jury of the Women in Marketing CEE Awards 2026, was a member of the Effie Awards Romania 2025 organising committee, sat on the Effie Romania 2021 jury, and has judged Vreau să fiu Antreprenor and iQads’ A New Now competition. She has mentored at the InnovX-BCR Investors Bootcamp.
She has spoken at TEDxAreni Women 2023, I Love Failure, FOMO 2026, Mastering the Music Business 2026 and the Gaming & Esports Summit 2026, and has been interviewed by Forbes România, iQads, The News Man Podcast and Drawing Business Value.
Born and raised in Skopje, North Macedonia, Katerina came to Romania on a scholarship in 2000 and made Bucharest her home. She is a proud mom, a coach, and the author of her debut book, Fata care a ars și a înviat.
